What is Hekima Pamoja
The name Hekima Pamoja is Kiswahili for "wisdom collective." It was founded by Jenna Martin-Michelen in 2011 and formalized in 2019. The teachings provided in the Community Center promote personal advancement, communal strength, youth development, and cultural connectivity.

Principles of Hekima Pamoja
Hekima Pamoja regards 3 main principles:
1) Nurture the Youth
2) Nurture the Family
3) Nurture the Community
How We Carry Out Our Principles
At Hekima Pamoja Community Center, we act on our principles providing a culturally based youth education program, a youth self defense program, a women's self defense program, community education events.
Use knowledge for good to preserve peace among men.
